The four main factors
Temperature
Temperature can influence the stability of research materials. Follow the storage conditions provided for the specific product or batch rather than assuming all peptides have identical requirements.
Light
Some research compounds can be sensitive to prolonged light exposure. Keep materials in appropriate containers and follow the product’s specified storage conditions.
Moisture
Moisture exposure may affect lyophilised research material. Avoid unnecessary exposure to humid environments.
Time
Research materials do not remain unchanged indefinitely. Record when products are received, opened or prepared so their history remains traceable.
When your order arrives
Check:
Then move the product to its appropriate storage environment without unnecessary delay.
Prepared versus unprepared material
A prepared research solution may behave differently from material in its original lyophilised state. Do not assume the same stability conditions apply. Follow the relevant research protocol and product-specific information.
If storage conditions may have been compromised
Do not guess. Record what happened and contact support with:
- Product name
- Batch number
- Approximate delivery / incident timing
- Description of the issue
This allows the situation to be reviewed properly.
